Dr Wictome qualified from Liverpool Medical School in 1995. She joined St Hilary Group Practice as a GP registrar to complete her training back in 2001. On qualifying, she was lucky enough to be retained, initially as a salaried GP, and then became a partner in 2006.

Since Professor Kingsland’s retirement at the end of June 2020, she has become the Senior Partner at the surgery. She is actively involved in both undergraduate and post graduate training.

She has held the position of a Community Clinical teacher at Liverpool University since 2002 teaching medical students within the university campus for 1 day a week. Her other position is as a GP trainer for Health Education North West, and since completing the foundation course in 2010 she has trained GP registrars within the surgery.

Through one of her main interests of minor surgery she has delivered minor surgery courses for the Royal College of GPs North West deanery on an annual basis for the last 3 years. She thoroughly enjoys living on the Wirral with her husband, son and daughter.
